You can sign up on WasalPay using your existing phone number and a new password. The system will send you a one-time password also known as OTP to verify that you own the number.
How do I reset my password?
In order to reset your password, you should click on “Forgot your password?” on the home page and enter your phone number. If the number exists on our system, it will send you a text message to help you set a new password
Can I send top-up to telecoms outside Afghanistan?
No, at this stage we only support Afghanistan. But we are discovering opportunities to launch in other countries as well.
Can I buy top-up from other countries for telecoms in Afghanistan?
Yes, you absolutely can as long as you have a Mastercard, Visa Card or a PayPal account.
How do you control the exchange rate?
We use an online service to exchange Afghani into USD. The rates are updated on an hourly basis and it isn't much different from the market rates. When entering the amount in Afghani for a top-up, the system immediately shows you how much you will be charged in USD.
How much will each transaction cost to process the top-up?
There is a 5% transaction fee. For instance, if you have to purchase 500 Afghani as a top-up, you will have to pay $6.76 including the 5% transaction fee. The transaction fee is paid to the payment processor.
How secure is WasalPay?
Security is one of the biggest considerations in everything we do. We process your payment through Afghanistan International Bank’s e-commerce payment gateway for Mastercard & Visa card users and PayPal for users who wish to purchase mobile-top up using their PayPal accounts. Which telecoms are supported?
We are already connected with all of the five GSM MNOs in Afghanistan including Etisalat, MTN, AWCC, Roshan and Salaam. That being said, you can easily purchase mobile top-up for yourself or your friends in Afghanistan from all over the world.
If we recharge with WasalPay, do we pay the 10% telecom fee?
Yes, it's automatically deducted by the government and therefore, you will receive the amount - 10% as top-up.
Is Breshna Bill payment supported?
We plan to integrate with Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) to enable our users to pay their electricity bills through WasalPay. However, this will take some time. For the time being, it’s not supported.
Can I remove my card details?
Yes, you can remove your payment card details from “My Accounts” tab on the sidebar menu. Please note that you can only keep one active card. If you wish to add a new one, you will have to delete your old card details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can absolutely do that. But, for security and audit reasons you will have to make a request through email and our support team will help you delete your WasalPay account permanently or temporarily – depending on your request.
Can I get a refund for my purchase?
All Sales for Digital Content or Services are Final. These Services are usually provided, owned, sold and processed by the Service owner. For instance, Da Afghanistan Brishna Shirkat processes your bill payment, KYDSC processes your top-up purchase and so on. Therefore, no refunds are permitted.
